Love Child Dress PDF Pattern

Love Child was born from the combinations of all the things I love about the clothes I have designed.

A luxuriously voluminous peasant sleeve taken from the Tablecloth Top pattern, a ‘v’ neck front with ties at neck from the Imby Dress pattern, a neat collar from Summer Vibes, bodice from Tablecloth/Imby Dress and tiers from Pretty Little Layers dress. Pockets from them all, because every flowy dress needs pockets, right?!

The result is a slim bodice that flows into a beautifully tiered skirt with showstopper sleeves. Wear it loose and flowy, change up the number of tiers, two tiers makes for a super cute mini dress, three gives you a lunch date midi and the 4 provides a luxurious boho dress. Belted gives definite skirt and top vibes.

As always, I like to provides patterns as a base, the rest is up to your creativity & fabric choice to create your very own piece to love.

Perfect in lightweight Indian block print fabric or go slightly crisper in a poplin or linen for an even more luxe dress. 

Sizing is XS - XL. Suggest checking skirt length you may need to add or take off at these points.

Below is a guide for measurement & guide for fabric consumption information. Fabric guide is based on 110cm wide fabric with directional print. If you use wider fabric or do not have directional print you will need less.

Available as downloadable pdf files in A0, you can get this printed at Officeworks or equivalent.  Also available as A4/Letter which you can print at home and piece together. Measurements for tiers are provided in sewing guide with separate files for bodice/sleeve & tiers so if you choose you don't need to print out skirt tier patterns pieces.

Sewing ability is an intermediate sewist, although with support of a Youtube video provided for collar, an adventurous beginner could definitely achieve this.
